Recently, I celebrated 2 years of puppy raising... It's been such a blessing to get to be part of an amazing group of amazing people and dogs :) I absolutely love being part of this great team of puppy raisers and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It's changed my life and it's helping change others' lives! To my surprise I still feel like a new puppy raiser.
It's amazing to think that two years ago I picked up Dembre, a little ball of black fur. I raised him, turned him in, and proudly handed him over to his new handler. I succeeded :) Dembre is a service dog!!! It's been 9 months since I got Hobart and he's only a few months away from turning-in himself. I don't even feel like I've started yet... I mean he knows his commands and he's awesome and all, but where did my little puppy go? He's growing up, and it feels like he's gone. Hopefully by this time next year... I'll have raised to puppies successfully and Hobart will have graduated as a working dog!
Thanks everyone for supporting me from day one... Over these last two years of raising and blogging I've learned so much and I look forward to raising more pups along side of all of you!
