Encouragement

I just got back from a nice weekend at Cherry Valley Lodge. Hobart is staying with my friends Bob and Connie, who are currently raising their 21st puppy, Dare, for CCI! I'll say that I was THRILLED that they offered to watch Hobart, because they have a lot of experience and a huge passing rate, while I have very little experience and a perfect passing rate of zero.

When we went to drop him off on Friday night we got to watch Hobart and Dare play. Surprisingly there was NO growling or barking and neither of the dogs showed extreme dominance. It was great to see Hobart playing really well with another pup :)

After a month without class, it was great to see other PRs again and remind myself of the fact that Hobart is not doing as badly as I've said. I've been encouraged with the fact that pups are different and that he's doing fine! I'm always happy to remember that there's a reason that I puppy raise and that I don't have to be perfect!

Labor Day Weekend

Hobart went to spend the weekend with my wonderful friends, Marty and Dave. I am going to a camp over Labor Day weekend. I should post on Monday night or Tuesday. I didn't get any new pics of Hobart before transferring him to the puppy sitter, because I've been packing for the last couple of days! And there will actually be a CCI pup at camp. Hopefully Hobart will be able to go next year.

Over the last week 9 new people started following my blog! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!! We have months to meet our goal and we're 9 members closer.

Vacation

I'm headed off on vacation and Dembre is off to the puppy sitter. He'll have a great time hanging out with all of his puppy class friends. (I won't update until I get him back in a couple of weeks.) Here's a pic of us together at CCI. And by the way Dembre is four months tomorrow!

Off to the Puppy Sitter

What a day for Mr. Dembre! He's of to the puppy-sitter. For the next nine days he's staying with a puppy raiser friend! I won't update until he comes back. This will be a good stretch for the 11wk old guy! He's 20lbs. and growing! Not so little anymore!
